1. Who this applies to
These terms apply to anyone who creates a BeHeld account, RSVPs to a BeHeld event, or attends a BeHeld event. By doing any of these, you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to use BeHeld.
3. Events
- Event details (date, time, location, price) are listed at RSVP through Luma or the BeHeld app.
- Attendance may require payment in advance via Stripe. Refund and cancellation terms are stated at the time of booking for each event.
- BeHeld reserves the right to decline entry, refund a ticket, or remove someone from an event or the platform for conduct that violates community guidelines or makes other attendees unsafe or unwelcome.
4. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- The information you provide (name, DOB, contact info) must be accurate.
- One account per person.
5. Content you share
BeHeld's app includes features where you write notes, ask questions, or leave items on other members' profiles ("shelves").
- You own what you write, but you grant BeHeld the right to display it to other members according to the visibility rules described in the app (for example, some content is only visible to attendees of the same event, and some content requires the recipient's approval before display).
- Don't post anything abusive, harassing, or that violates another person's privacy or safety.
- BeHeld can remove content that violates these terms.
6. Payments
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
- Membership fees, where applicable, renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
- Pricing is subject to change with notice to active members.
7. Code of conduct
BeHeld events are built around trust and vulnerability between attendees. We ask everyone to:
- Treat other attendees with respect
- Honor the privacy of what others share, both in the room and in the app
- Not record or photograph other attendees without their consent
Violating this may result in removal from an event without refund, or removal from the platform.
8. Disclaimers and liability
- BeHeld events involve in-person social activity, and you attend at your own discretion.
- BeHeld is not liable for interactions between members outside of official events.
- The app and events are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. BeHeld can suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We'll notify active members by email before material changes take effect.
