Friendship isn't a one-night thing. In school, it was the same people, the same room, again and again. BeHeld brings that back for adults.

A short application, not a swipe. It's how we learn what a good room looks like for you.
The same way school did — some things in common, then time to let the rest unfold.
You're in. The more you tell us who you clicked with, and who you didn't, the sharper our next room gets.
You make something for each other, and leave feeling like someone saw you.
Dear future Beholder,
I know what it's like to be surrounded by people and still not know who to call in a real crisis, besides your parents.
Finding your person isn't easy, but it changes everything — at least for me. That's why I built BeHeld: to help you find yours, sooner..
— Lynette, founder
Most events help you meet people. BeHeld helps meaningful connections grow. We swap forced small talk for hands-on activities, then bring you back together with the people you want to see again. We never define what a connection should be - we let it become what it becomes, however it's meant to be.
BeHeld is for people who want to build meaningful relationships, not just meet more people. Our members show up with intention, invest in the connections they make, and understand that to have a village, you have to be a villager first.
We thoughtfully curate each group based on life stage and values. We look for enough common ground to make connection easier, without filling the room with people exactly like you. It starts with your application.
Activities evolve from event to event, but the blueprint stays the same: make meeting people easier, help you feel seen, and make reconnecting seamless.
Meaningful relationships take effort, but knowing what to do nextshouldn't. Each week you get a menu of side quests, from low effort to high: show up, leave a voice note, check in on someone, host a walk. You decide how you want to show up.Showing up earns points that unlock more matches and deeper quests. Miss something you committed to and you lose a little - then win it back by showing up again.
Because having a village starts with being a villager.
Our events runs every Thursday at different locations in New York City. Join the waitlist and we'll invite you when your room is ready — upcoming dates live on the Events page.
Every participant agrees to The BeHeld Code — a short agreement about how we treat each other, with serious consequences for anyone whose behavior threatens the trust of the room.
