The way it used to happen.
BeHeld brings back the school days version of getting to know someone — through showing up, doing things together, and seeing who someone is over time.
Loneliness now carries the same health risk as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.

The problem isn't a lack of people, but a lack of depth.
We get to know you before you walk in, so that the room you arrive into has been chosen with you in mind.
Then we put you in activities that surface character in ways small talk never can.
A short application, then a snapshot of your table a few days out.
Structured activities that surface character, with less performance and more attention.
Tell us who you'd like to see again, and we'll connect you if it's mutual.
About two hours in a small, intentional space, moving through structured activities designed to surface character — drawing, storytelling, making, noticing. Less performance, more attention. Stay and mingle after if you'd like.
Not exactly, and not not. We don't pre-sort by what you're looking for, because your people might be a best friend, a partner, a collaborator, or something without a label yet.
A short application before the event shapes who you'll be sitting with, and after the event your next invitation is informed by who you connected with — mutual matches come back, the ones you didn't click with quietly don't.
Tell us at the end of the event, and if they pick you back we'll let you both know — then you choose what happens next, either a direct introduction or a reserved spot at the next event together.
Single events are $65, which covers your seat and matching. Recurring monthly membership and premium tiers are launching August 2026.
Every participant agrees to The BeHeld Code — a short agreement about how we treat each other, with serious consequences for anyone whose behavior threatens the trust of the room.
